The group also runs a weekly drop-in program at the Palo Duro Innovation Lab near the railroad tracks in the Barrio neighborhood, where participants can test new software on loaned laptops.
Professionals in the area have used these spaces to meet hiring managers from companies such as Xcel Energy's local data operations and smaller startups clustered around Sixth Avenue.

Tickets for the Civic Center summit cost $35 in advance through the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce website, with the July 22 mixer listed at $15 for students and $25 for working professionals. Last year's comparable events drew 480 attendees, according to chamber records, and produced 62 documented job placements within three months.
