The Amarillo Chamber of Commerce is running its annual BusinessConnection tradeshow on May 14, 2026, at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex, expecting more than 250 exhibitors and roughly 4,000 visitors.
Business operators in Amarillo are tracking the same cost and demand shifts affecting midsize markets elsewhere, yet the chamber continues to schedule gatherings that require little or no registration fee.
Weekly and Monthly Options Stay in Place
Business After Hours meetings rotate among member businesses each week from 5 to 7 p.m. Get Connected sessions occur every fourth Thursday in partnership with the Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The Tuesday Business Outreach Meeting convenes at noon each week at the Texas Panhandle War Memorial, and Coffee with the Chamber events are held periodically at the Small Business Development Center at 2300 N Western St.
West Texas A&M University’s Enterprise Center adds weekly AI workshops on Tuesdays when the series is active, and monthly Claude Code Community Meetups draw more than 150 developers for hybrid sessions. West Texas A&M University itself stages more than 20 tech-related programs each year, including the Buffalo Tech Expo and regular Code & Coffee meetups.
Scale of Existing Activity Provides Context
The May tradeshow remains the largest single B2B event on the local calendar, while the Fermi campus project nearby is listed at a $300 billion valuation with an 11-gigawatt AI power component. These figures sit alongside the chamber’s ongoing free programming rather than replacing it.
